Trainer - David Wahl

David Wahl is a Sport Performance Coach in Golden Colorado. In high school, he was an all-conference football player and district champion in the 100 and 200 yard sprints. Serving in the Army from 1987 to 1990 as an Airborne Medic, David received the Airborne, Army Commendation, Achievement, Expert Field Medic, and Sharpshooter awards. Competitive experiences range from national level youth motocross, telemark ski racing, cycling to most recently - rock climbing. Educationally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and minor in Biochemistry in 1999 and Master of Arts in Educational Science in 2003. In addition, he has earned the designation of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as Level 1 Track and Field Coach from USA Track and Field, Expert (now Level 2) Cycling Coach from USA Cycling to Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting. Running, cycling and skiing dominated his training from 1993 to 1999, with rock climbing being the foremost activity in the last seven years. David’s strength and conditioning coaching experiences range from local cycling and running racers, national level amateur tennis players to elite rock climbers and mountaineers. Currently he is training to compete in Master’s level Track (sprint) and Master’s class Bouldering.
